June 26, 2010 in Ames, IA. It was a beautiful last ceremony for Father Dennis, who officiated final wedding before being reassigned to northern Iowa. The wedding attendees were so happy that the wedding was at St. Thomas with the reception across the street in the Great Hall of the Memorial Union as the day topped triple digits for the heat index.
Wedding reception activities included a photo booth, air guitars and keyboards played by the kids, mischief with magnets (see photos), and flow charting of how the guests on table 8 and 13 were connected to the bride and groom.
Favorite quotes of the evening, "The F in FAFSA's free." (Say it quickly and it has an entirely different connotation.)
